Severe Epilepsy, Lennox Gastaut Syndrome (LGS)
Join our Study in Chicago
We are currently recruiting for a trial to treat people who have a severe and difficult-to-treat form of epilepsy, called Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS) for a study in our Chicago center.
We are seeking participants from 2 to 55 years old for a study on severe epilepsy, in particular, Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS).
Patients who are interested in this study must:
Have A Severe Epilepsy Diagnosis: A confirmed diagnosis of Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS), which is characterized by multiple types of seizures (often including “drop seizures” like tonic or atonic seizures), specific abnormal patterns on a brain wave test (EEG), and typically begins in early childhood (age 11 or younger).
Have Uncontrolled Seizures: Currently experiencing a significant number of major motor seizures (at least four major motor seizures per month, including tonic or tonic/atonic seizures) despite being on a current regimen of anti-seizure medications.
Wide Age Range: Participants can be children or adults, ranging from 2 to 55 years old
Participants will continue taking their existing anti-seizure medications while on the study.
