1 in 10 children and young people are affected by mental health problems

We provide assessments for ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression and other mental health concerns in the Harley Street Medical Area
Almost 70% of children and young people who experience a mental health problem have not had appropriate interventions at a sufficiently early age. Our team of child and adolescent psychiatrists and psychologists are passionate about providing an early, accurate diagnosis. We recognise that no two children are the same. This is why our treatment plans are always bespoke to each child.

No waiting lists. Just fast and easy access to essential diagnostic and treatment services

Access to an early, accurate diagnose and treatment plan is important for your child’s mental health. The earlier a condition is diagnosed and treated, the more effective ongoing management is. Waiting lists for NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) can be in excess of 18 months. This means that many children are unable to access treatment. Re:Cognition Health’s private child mental health clinic provides fast access to essential diagnostic and treatment services. If your child is showing symptoms of a mental health condition, they may benefit from seeing a child and adolescent psychiatrist.

Our clinic is located in the Harley Street Medical Area, the world-renowned centre of medical excellence. There are no lengthy waiting lists at our clinic. In fact, we are proud to offer appointments within two weeks of an initial referral.

Help to unlock your child’s potential

Mental health conditions like ADHD are often seen as an impediment. However, our team of ADHD specialists recognise that people with ADHD have many positive characteristics. For example, they can succeed because of their charming attitude, endless energy and vitality, creativity, problem-solving skills and empathy. In addition, in a school environment a child might benefit from enhanced creativity, hyper-focus, vitality and spontaneity. With the right support, the opportunities are endless.

We are one of the first clinics in the UK to provide early intervention services for Autism Spectrum Disorders

Like with all mental health conditions, it’s important to get a diagnosis as early as possible. The earlier the intervention, the more successful the outcome could be, having an important impact on the trajectory of a child’s future. Early intervention is important because younger children’s brains are still developing. This means that they are very malleable, enabling the quick acquisition of cognitive, motor and social skills.

Dr Paschos notes: “If you diagnose autism early, when the brain is still developing, when the child hasn’t learned things in the wrong way, the outcome is much better and that is a robust finding, no matter what the intervention: the earlier, the better,”

If you are concerned your child is showing signs of Autism, they could benefit from an Autism Assessment.
